Thursday 5th March

St Piran's Celebration at Bodmin

10.45am - Assemble Lower Bore Street, Bodmin outside the old Library

11.00am - Celebrations will commence with a St Piran Parade from the Library on Lower Bore Street, down through the town to Mount Folly, stopping at the Flamank Stone –invited dignitaries will address the gathered crowd, followed by the children singing and dancing.

11.30am - 11.40am The children will then be escorted to St Petroc’s Church where they will present their own contributions to mark St Piran’s Day, performing Cornish plays and songs.

12.45pm Lunch for children in St. Petroc’s Church

St Piran's Day Walk in Bude

St Pirans's Day Procession starting from Bude Surf Life Saving Club, Summerleaze Beach, Bude, Cornwall.

Follow the piper across Summeleaze Downs to the lock gates then returning to the Bude Life Saving Club. Singing led by local Cornish Group An Scaith. Everyone Welcome. Bring your flags! Free to all.

The Barrel at Bude will be taking part in the Trelawny Shout (see the bottom of the page), which will follow the procession.

Solempnita Gool Peran Aberfala

10.00 to 11.40am - a celebration of St Piran with a Furry Dance by local school children and musicians, all are welcome to join in or line the streets to watch the procession. The parade will leave from the Moor, Webber Street, High Street, Brewery Yard, Prince of Wales Pier and on to Lower Killigrew Street.

Come on down and join us as we celebrate Cornwall's National Day and our most famous Patron Saint...Saint Piran!

The Bryher’s Boys & Local Vocalz will be here from 8pm. Formed out of several local vocal groups in 2017 - they have sung all over West Cornwall with their unique mix of Traditional Songs, Shanties and shaggy dog stories!

And we will be taking part in The Charity Trelawny Shout too!! At 9pm so help us raise some money for The St Pirans Trust

There will also be a Cornish Specials Board available from Midday until 9.00pm, including Star Gazey Pie! (Available from Thursday until Sunday)

7pm St Piran-In-Penwith Concert at St John’s Hall, Penzance. Children’s choir and guests, Penzance Guizers.

Thursday 5th March 

10.15am St Piran Furry. Processional dance and music complete with local dignitaries, starting at 10.15am in Causewayhead, Penzance, ending at St John’s Hall, Penzance for a drink and saffron buns. Please come and wave a flag and join in singing Trelawny!

The Bolingey Troyl Band will be running a ceili at the Upper Deck Pub from 7.45pm

St. Piran will arrive on the beach and will be piped onto the Green opposite the car park where other performances and festivities will take place.

Sunday 8th March  The main Perranporth St. Piran’s parade will take place on the Dunes interspersed with the traditional St. Piran’s play. Further details to follow

12noon Procession through the streets, including school, nursery and community groups, representative of Gorsedh Kernow, dignitaries and our very own town mascot, Tolgus the lamb!

The Truro St Piran's Day Parade 2020 will feature a new tune commissioned from Russell Pascoe. It's a dance tune which will provide music for all the schools which are coming along to perform through the streets.  As many musicians as possible are very welcome. There will be a rehearsal led by Parade Musical Director, Robin Holmes. Acoustic instruments please - at 12pm on Thursday 5th March (St Piran's Day) at Waterfall Gardens (in St George's Road).
