The Bards of Gorsedh Kernow need to elect a new Kannas Bardh Meur (Deputy Grand Bard) for In order for an election to take place Gorsedh Kernow asks bards to nominate candidates who David HOLMAN or preferably by e-mail to: membership@gorsedhkernow.org.uk by no later than 31st January 2020 CRITERIA 1 That a Deputy Grand Bard is to be elected to serve for three years from the date of the completion of the term of office of the holder of that Office at that time 2.The Deputy Grand Bard will, under Rule 6(a) of the Constitution, be qualified by his/hercompetence in the Cornish Language. 3 All candidates for election as Deputy Grand Bard must be nominated in writing by two Bards as proposer and seconder and all such nominations, accompanied by the written 4 If there shall be MORE THAN ONE candidate nominated for the Office, the Returning Officer shall inform the College of Bards and an election will follow. 5 If there shall be ONLY ONE candidate nominated for the Office, the Returning Officer shall certify in writing to the Gorsedh Council that such candidate is duly elected, 6 If there shall be NO candidate nominated for the Office, then the Gorsedh Council may without ballot of the members elect a qualified Bard to the Office.
