Originally called ‘Truro River Oyster Dredging Boats’, these boats worked under sail and oar to respect harbour byelaws prohibiting the dredging of oysters by mechanical means. Now more commonly referred to as Falmouth Working Boats, the spectacle of their fleet is enjoyed at local regattas.
