Breton and Welsh delegates to attend the Open Gorseth in Launceston
 

the Archdruid of Wales

The Council of Gorseth Kernow were delighted to hear that Dr Robyn Lewis (Archdderwydd Cymru) and about 30 Bards of the Welsh Gorsedd are coming to Cornwall. They will be attending the 75th Anniversary Gorseth at Launceston Castle on Saturday 6th September 2003. Members of one Gorseth are honorary members of the other.

Deuant i Ddathliad 75ed Penblwydd Sefydlu Gorseth Kernow yng Nghastell Lanstephan, Launceston ddydd Sadwrn, Medi'r 6ed 2003. Y mae aelodau'r naill orsedd yn aelodau anrhydeddus o'r llall.

For the special 75th anniversary of Gorseth Kernow there will also be four representatives from our sister Goursez in Brittany.

Deputy Grand Bard Tewennow (Rod Lyon) and Myrgh Casnewydd will be attending the Goursez in Brazparz, Brittany on 20th July.

Launceston was important when there were Cornish kings, and for centuries after the Norman conquest, Dunheved and Launceston were the chief military and ecclesiastical stations within the Earldom (later Duchy) of Cornwall.
