Kernewek Lowender

Flags fly in celebration of Kernewek Lowender, the Cornish festival held biennially in Australia's Little Cornwall, on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia.
 

The dressing of the graves, a ceremony held in cemeteries in the towns of Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo. About six Cornish graves are chosen and their family history read out to the children, who dress the graves with flowers. Many adults wore nineteenth-century costume and there was a horse-drawn hearse. Sankey hymns were sung to harmonium accompaniment.
