Speakers at the Australia at War seminar, opened by the Grand Bard (back of photograph, partly hidden). The seminar covered all aspects of armed conflict from the Eureka Stockade to Iraq. Noel Carthew, Chair of the South Australia Cornish Association, is standing in front with a paper in his left hand. Behind him is a descendant of the famous Cap'n Hancock. On the far left is Bill Phillips, and next to him Tom Luke, both of the Cornish Association of Victoria. On the far right is Professor Philip Payton from the Institute of Cornish Studies, Truro.

Wallaroo is a major exporter of wheat from Australia. The wharf can be seen on the left. Wallaroo's day at Kernewek Lowender is on the Sunday. Barth Mur sang the Lord's Prayer in Cornish at a Blessing of the Sea service near here.
