The children of Penzance and the surrounding area will be holding Virtual’ activities instead of the usual celebrations this year. The event will run up to March 5th,the day when the children would normally have danced through the town.
Due to Covid lockdown measures this year we have arranged a virtual dance, plenty of chances to sing along to Cornish songs from our glorious county and an Art competition, where the children can depict ‘ What makes Cornwall so special?’
Packs have been sent out to schools and these have been downloaded by the children. Included in these packs are puzzles, games, recipes ,as well as, encouraging children to create their own homemade rosette for the day.
There are a number of online Zoom events, including the singing of ‘Trelawney’ on the day itself.
Look out for our St.Piran flags which will be hung through the streets of Penzance, always a joyous sight and a good excuse to walk through our beautiful town.
