Join us for a day of free celebrations as we unveil a brand new artwork by Abigail Reynolds and celebrate themes of home and homecoming.
There are free family workshops, songs, a new exhibition and a chance to meet the artist.
Timetable:
10.00am: Unveiling of new glass artwork by Abigail Reynolds, with a performance by the St Just Ordinalia choir
10.30am-12pm: Drop in and join artist Vicki Aimers to make a simple printed pocket book inspired by home and that great feeling of coming home. It’s a special place to keep your treasured mementoes such as photos and notes.
12.30pm: Performance by The Story Republicans
1.30pm-3pm: Drop in and make a stained glass picture with artist Melanie Young
3pm-4pm: Artist Abigail Reynolds in conversation with Sir Nicholas Serota, Chair of Arts Council England, with cream tea. Booking essential for this free event as places are limited. Booking information will be available here soon.
Abigail has produced a new book about the artwork, which will be available to buy on the day. There will also be an opportunity for book signing at 10.30am and 3.45pm, after the in conversation event.
