Esedhvos Festival of Cornish Culture 2021

A slightly different look to the Esedhvos this year with some events in Bude and others
going online.

Online

Holyer an Gof

A video giving the results of the Holyer an Gof awards will be available later this month
on the Gorsedh website.

Conference

The Gorsedh conference will be held as an online conference in the Autumn. The date
and programme will be sent out shortly. This will also give a chance for those of you liv-
ing at a distance to attend.

Events in Bude-Stratton
Friday 3rd September

Exhibition of the work submitted for the Gorsedh Award will be in the Parkhouse Centre
and will remain there throughout Saturday.

7pm: Adult Awards ceremony in the Parkhouse Centre—by invitation.


Saturday 4th September

6.30pm. Concert at the bandstand in the Castle grounds. Performers to be announced.
This will not be a ticketed event this year. It will be open to all and there will be dona-
tions for the Gorsedh taken at the entrance.

Sunday 5th September

10am. Blas a Gernewek : Cornish Taster Session led by Jaqi Heard., Myrgh Kemynnieth
The Lecture Hall, Stratton

12am. Heritage Walk around Stratton, led by Ian Saltern, Penfound. Meet in the public car
park in Stratton.

3pm. Evensong in Stratton Church. This will be a traditional BCP Evensong.

Stalls

There will be an opportunity for stalls if anyone wishes to have one. There is an artisan
market in Bude on the Saturday and space for more stalls if required. Gorsedh stalls
should fit the ethos of the Gorsedh, selling items with a Cornish theme or concerned with
Cornish culture. If you would like a stall, please email news @gorsedhkernow.org.uk in
the first instance and we will pass on your request.
