29.8.20 Gorsedh Kernow to hold small Bardic Ceremony

Gorsedh Kernow is pleased to announce that although the Esedhvos and Bardic Ceremony planned for Bude-Stratton has been postponed until 2021, we will be holding a small Bardic ceremony on 5th September 2020. This ceremony will not involve some of the usual features, but will include the roll call of those Bards who have left us this year and the welcoming of New Bards into the circle. We will be adhering strictly to government guidelines and limiting numbers, which means that most Bards will be unable to attend this ceremony and we will not be able to welcome the public to come and watch.

With this in mind, we are excited to announce that the ceremony will be live streamed at 14:00 on 5th September on the Gorsedh Kernow website, so that as many as possible will be able to join us online, including those in the Diaspora as well as family and friends of New Bards. Details of how to access the live-stream will be available on the website nearer the time. We hope lots of people will join us online for this unique event.

Gorsedh Kernow is very grateful to FEAST who have awarded us funding under their Re-ignition Programme to make the live-stream possible.
