Solempnita Awen/Awen Ceremony

Sunday 19th June 11am Gorsedh Kernow AWEN ceremony, Warbstow Bury, off the A395 at Hallworthy, near Davidstow, North Cornwall.

Awen ceremonies are often held in unpopulated venues, so there are no toilet or changing facilities at this site, which is very rural.  Please allow at least 15 minutes to robe at your car, and then walk to the top of the Bury (300 yards). Stout footware is advised. Please park in the field opposite the entrance to the Bury.

From Mid and West Cornwall, take the A30 to Indian Queens, fork left on the A39 through Wadebridge and Camelford. 2.5 miles after Camelford fork right on the A395 to Hallworthy (2.5 miles). In Hallworthy take the second left to Warbstow (2.5 miles). Turn right into the field opposite the Bury entrance.

From South East Cornwall, take the A395, off the A30, 3 miles west of Launceston, to Hallworthy, turn sharp right to Warbstow (2.5 miles) and right, into the field opposite the Bury.

From North Cornwall turn left off the A39 at Wainhouse Corner to Canworthy Water (2+ miles) then turn right to Warbstowbury (1.5 miles). Turn left into the field opposite the entrance to the Bury.

Important Message from John Jenkin

I am the Regalia Registrar and have a written photographic record of all regalia items and the names of current holders. When there is a change of holder, as occasionally happens and always happens on a change of Grand Bard/DGB etc., I need to know. In the past an item has gone missing, sometimes permanently,  because a holder has passed it to somebody else without notification. This is important as it is the only way I can keep the records up-to-date.

My contact details are John Jenkin, Carrek an Jawl, Regalia Registrar. Email Postal address  - 6 Gilbert Rd. Bodmin, Kernow, PL31 2BY.  Regards. John.
