Book Launch Friday 26th February 2016 at 2pm. "Geraint - Last of the Arthurians".

This new novel by Donald R Rawe, Scryfer Lanwednoc, bard of Gorsedh Kernow, will be launched at Kingsley Village Suite ( next to the first floor Cafe, Kingsley Village, Fraddon). Guest readers will read extracts from the book and copies will be on sale after the launch.
Twenty years in the writing and described as a historical work of fiction with plenty of facts within it, the author says "at least some of its suppositions must be true, and hopefully will be supported by later emerging evidence."

A ground-breaking new book about bard of Gorsedh Kernow, Robert Victor Walling (1895-1976), soldier, poet, journalist and writer with a special interest in the Cornish language, is being published on St Piran’s Day.  Skryfer – R V Walling” will be launched by Jori Ansell, Caradok, past Grand Bard of Gorsedh Kernow and current Chairman of the recently created Cornish Language Academy, at 6pm at Camborne Rugby Club, on St Piran’s Day, Saturday 5th March 2016. Saturday 16th. April is the date both of the Proclamation in St. Keverne and the Annual General Meeting of Gorsedh Kernow (St Keverne Parish Hall - see details in Feb/Mar/April newsletter).

Language associations AGMs

Kesva an Taves Kernewek. Saturday 6th. February a.m. Lys Kernow.

Kowethas an Yeth Kernewek. Saturday 6th. February p.m. Lys Kernow. Mark Trevethan, Cornish Language Lead, Cornish Language Unit at Cornwall Council, will give a presentation at 2.00. This will be followed by the AGM. At about 4pm there will be a farewell for Jenefer Lowe. Refreshments. All welcome.
